You should definitely get a tune after the head/cams swap. If they're both stage 1, you might not "require" a tune, but your car will definitely benefit from a good tune.

Dyno tine would be the best, but with a stage 1 setup you cane just richen it up with a sct tuner in the mid-higher rpms, should be fine. You could even add alittle timing to it. But if you dont have any knowledge about tuning i would get someone to do it for you.

If you're doing the PI swap you NEED a tune no matter what. Take it and get a dyno tune.

EDIT: Not enough coffee this morning.

If you're doing the PI swap you NEED a tune no matter what. You are going from a SOHC to a DOHC. Take it and get a dyno tune.
So not true. A PI swap is not the same thing as a DOHC swap. All it is is switching the heads and intake from a 99-04 mustang GT (2v Performance Improved) to the engine of a 96-98 mustang (which is also a 2v but has ****tier heads and intake).

I'm glad you corrected me on that. Sorry, not enough coffee this morning. I was reading a different thread about DOHC swap's. Got me confused.

Fuel maps are different on head of diferent designs. No MATTER WHAT, he'll need a tune.
