Default 2nd gear grind

Okay so I'm at the transmission shop cause my car grinds almost everytime I shift into 2nd, especially when its cold... (and cause I have a warrenty w/ this thing) and he's test driving the thing, and its not doing it at all now, I know its not my driving, I've driven many mustangs and never had this problem and even my dad drove my car and had the same problem, now I really don't know what to do cuz everybody is saying its probably the syncros but he aint gonna fix it, if he can't feel it, any advice guys?
Thnx

If you are 196% postive it is not your driving, take him for a ride and show him. That is what I would do.

How much more warranty do you have? If you have some more time, just drive it a little longer, maybe a little harder, and they will get worse. They won't get better - only worse.

I'm like 200% sure it aint my driving, I've had other ppl drive it w/ the same results, and the thing that sucks now is, my warrenty company knows about the problem, and if its not fixed now, and I let it go, they will void that part of the warrenty... he was punchin it like, every gear, and I told him I don't normally drive like that, every once in a while ill romp on it, but normally when I drive the rds are busy as hell and he said he would go slower with it, and he did, but almost punched it before shifting, and I don't wanna do that everytime or get grinds, or it'l screw more crap up... I'm probably just gonna take it somewhere else if he don't find anything wrong... this sucks

Let it sit and get cold again and then drive him around... see if it does it then.

Its probably a temperature thing. The 3650 is notorious for having craptastic shifts once the outside temp drops down into the 30's. If its under warrantly make them do the TSB for second gear grind. Tell them to do it, don't let them tell you that they can't replicate the problem. Print out the TSB and take it with you, hand it to the shop manager and say "fix it".

Well, its left at the shop, I won't see it again till after christmas =( they are gonna tear apart the trans to find out what's wrong, cuz he did say he noticed (and so did I) when he shifts it to 2nd, it goes down to where 2nd should be, than has an extra little click, than its in gear, he said that's not good, and that's where I normally get the grind, when it goes to where the gear should be, to the point of the click into the gear... and I would have taken it back to screw it up a bit more so he would notice it, but if it left the shop (since my warrenty company knew it was there) my trans warrenty would be void... I know, it blows...

Welcome to the wonderful world of the tr3650. It won't go away unless you replace the synchro with the beefier ones that ford released. Mine has done it ever since I bought it two years ago. It won't get better, and it only will do it when the tranny is cold. Get used to double clutching when it is cold and it won't do it. Search for this topic. There MANY threads about it.

What's like, the right way to double clutch? I heard like 3 different ways... and maybe the guy at the trans shop will be nice and order the good stuff, no reason why he shouldn't the warrenty company is payin him!
