power pipe?

do power pipes really help alot with a vortech? i want to get around 11 psi. i also have a 3.48 pulley. i am n/i.

if im not mistaken the general theory is for every 1 psi you can expect 10rwhp. so say a powerpipe gives you 2-3 more psi your looking at another 20-30rwhp gain. not bad for $200+a retune if you ask me.

Is a Power Pipe the front tube that goes from the MAF to the S/C? The front tube in your sig 97Stang?

yep thats the power pipe, in a stock kit you get a i believe like 2" wide plastic piece of tubing. My power pipe is a Modular Power House4".

I think its something to do with the Blower using less force sucking the air into it, translating into more pressure on the other side.

be careful running more than 10 PSI.

The powerpipe should not need a retune if you have a good tune. MPH said I will not even need a retune after the i/c and powerpipe... just adding timing to each RPM stage via the xcal 2
