Default 99 4v heads on 97 2v block

i was wondering if it would be possible to put a set of 99 cobra heads and intake on a 97 gt iron block. i have the timing chain sets for both motors. wondering what else is needed if possible at all.

I have read it is possible, but requires more money and/or work than most people feel worthwhile.

lets say money is not a big deal what would be all the required parts. ive got a full 99 cobra motor but the block is cracked, and i also have a 97 4.6 gt iron block.

If you have a complete Cobra engine than yes it's worth it. But the reason we always tell everyone it's not worth the $ is because they think they can just swap on the heads and call it a day. But there are so many little things that need to change that it starts getting expensive and easier to swap the running 4V into there car. So your way will work. Do us a favor document the swap so we can have a sticky for everyone to ignore

The difference is that some of the 4vs had tumble port heads and some had swirl port heads. I forget which ones had which. You can do a 4v swap into a 2v but, you will need a new computer for it and yes, it will add up. I think it would be worth it but, what do you want out of the car??? Will it see FI eventually???
