In first and second gear itis hard to shift into but the rest are ok, and this only happens at certain times. After i back up in reverse sometimes and try to put it in first, i really have to pop it in. And also sometimes after im stoped for a period of time it will be hard to put in. When im in first however and rolling bout to shift to second its fine, just when stoped. I have adjusted the firewall quadrant to half an inch of clutch pedal play and clutch engauges fine (centerforce dual fric.) And tranny fluid is really full, Please help me!!!

+1

Its extremly hard to troubleshoot transmission problems without acutally messing with and looking at the trans, but it could very well be the shift forks/linkage.

just slip the clutch a little with the transmission out of gear, then fully disengage the clutch and slide it into 1st, see if that helps any.
