Default Benefits I got from Plenum

I installed my new Accufab 70mm TB and Plenum last week. I couldn't get the stock intake tube over the new TB so I installed a MAC CAI at the same time. Here are the benefits I got out of it:
The Good
Gas Mileage went up 2MPG (I expect a larger increase when my foot lets off the happy pedal)
Horse power curve moved up about 150 RPM!!! (picked up 0.2s in 0-60 time with the new curve)
Lighter throttle pedal
Easy Install
The Bad
Minimal horsepower gains (peak difference = 4)
I think I have a small vaccumm leak from the install

I do not know what anyone means by "Throttle Response", so I did not include it. I went with the 70mm because there is no difference in flow unless you have a SC or Turbo, and I will not be adding either to this car.

lol throttle response is when you step on the gas, the car goes immediately instead of thinking about it first

. i dont think the tb had anything to do with you taking .2 of your track time.. ill chalk that up to experience

I agree, it is very unlikely that those induction mods netted you 2/10's of a second in your 60ft. Maybe if you already had ported heads and/or cams.

It was the change in the RPM that matched better to my up to my driving style. I could never shift at the correct RPM until I installed the TB and Plenum.

Cool! I hope I can get the same results as you did! I haven't ran my car at the track since I added the tb/plenum.

You are right that it probably won't help most people very much. But for me to be able to shift without thinking and 2MPG, it was worth it. It may not make the car faster, but it makes me faster in the car, and that is the important thing.
Most guys on here are pretty good drivers; I, on the other hand, will take any help I can get from the mods.

I love the wheels on your TA!
