Default 4.6 vs 5.0

Well I was at my grandfathers machine shop today discussing my 5.1 stroker build up. We were getting all the parts together and double checking the parts we need to finish it up. Out of nowhere he said my lil p***y 4.6 will never match up to a 5.0 power for power with no stroking. Of course the defensive side in me said my lil 4.6 will blow a 5.0 away. I know stock for stock I kill them. But what do yall think about each motor fully built with heads, cams, bottom end forged, s/c or TT, everything. I think a 4.6 will make more power.I know weight is a problem with the new edges but lets just say both are sn95 bodys. What is your guys opinion?

I meant any 4.6 2v or 4v..sorry..But doesnt the 5.0 make more power when its stroked out. Im not a 5.0 guy dont know that much about them but I beat my buddys all the time.

i know a stroked 5.0 with a TT setup will DOMINATE the highways.

as it splits the block right down the middle, you have to remember the stock 302 blocks were weak after about 500rwhp.

given that fact if we are not using after market blocks would give the win to the modular motor. it is easier to produce power out of the 5.0's though.

also yes the 5-0's love being stroked but then again you need to watch the thickness of the cylinder walls and upgrade your cooling.

I think I would have to go with a built 4v FTW, but there are just so many different scenerios though.

I know the 5.0 is a beast, but for your average H/C/I 5.0 on the streets, I haven't had much trouble. I know with a wild cam and great heads they can make more power than you can shake a stick at, but just running into an average red neck in a foxbody, I've done alright

well stock shortblock for stock shortblock the 5-0 would win, but if you are changing internals then i would have to give the win to a 4.6 seeing as the blocks on the 5.0's will break at a certain point of power.

what if the 4.6 (2v or 4v) was stroked to a 5.1 with H/C/I/E vs a 5.0 stroked to a 331 with H/C? Friend of mine has a 331 and he jumped in on the debate
