well the longest 8 hours of my life is over, i am wasted. only thing i ate today was a milkyway bar and an XXL Monster energy drink. did it with my dad at his works shop, we just unbolted the mounts and lifted the engine to get enough room. it worked was just a pain in the ***. car sounds sweet now =D LT's rock i guess all the work was worth the $400. cant wait for my cams now!!!

I cant even imagine installing LTs without removing the fact k member. It was a pain to unbolt the right header and I was able to sit indian style in the wheel well and stare directly at the damned thing. More power to ya...

Do you by any chance have a writeup on how you did that? I have a 97 GT and some MAC LT's in my closet that need to be installed. I have done my suspension and front brakes on my own and that's about it. How hard is it to do? And did you take any pictures while you did it?

awesome congrats man! should get some soundclips for us to hear and convince us california noobs to just man up and do it eventho we have e-checks all the time[:@]

to trickdriller, you just wanna loosen your motor mounts and lift up the engine enough to slide the old out and new in. no other way unless you take off the valvetrain and do it that way.

I'd definately do LT's if I could find a brand that I didn't have to remove one to get the tranny out.
