Default H-pipe install question(s)

okay, my cousin has an o/r H from herold 99 gt that sitting in her garage right now and she doesnt want it and is willing to give it to me if I want it.

first off would the pipe fit my car which is on 01' GT?

and secondly would the pipe install just like an x pipe?

the reason I ask is cause I was going to try it myself if it matched the intructions on this x-pipe install
http://www.mustanghowto.com/exhaust/Xpipe/Xpipe.htm

lastly, is there any site that would have a h-pipe install instruction page?

H & X pipe installation would be no different (so yes that write up would work) except with O/R Pipes, if you want to get rid of the CEL you need to make some MIL Elims or buy a pair and if you have an '04 you will need O2 extensioners (dont know the reason but stated on many vendor's site)

and yes that mid pipe would bolt on just fine to your car.

I know this post is kinda old but I'm considering ordering my exhaust and o/r h pipe and I don't know what I need to buy. Do I need mil Elims or o2 sensors? Also I have no idea what a CEL is? Forgive me if any of these questions seem dumb but I know nothing about cars. Thanks in advance for any info. Justin

With the o/r pipe all you'll need is the MIL's. CEL stands for Check Engine Light. If you have an 04 you'll also need o2 extensions.
