Are you doing a custom cam or are you going to buy a box cam?

 

i'm probably going to just get a box set of cams. really dont know much about them to get a custom one if you know what i mean...

 

it's not up to you to know anything about them. You just need to know the specs of your car and what you want from it. Tim from MPH can make you a killer set.

 

Sounds like a nice kit. Let us know what it makes when it comes together.

why is everyone suddenly talking about/going with stroker kits on the 4.6l? The stroker kits simply don't work, and they make an already bad bore/stroke ratio worse. Stock stroke/big bore or nothing (and in my book, stock FTW).

 

+1....knowing what i know now, I would have never got the stroker kit....its seriously almost an extra grand I coulda spent on a better fuel system/smaller pulleys/longtubes and would have ended up making more power in the end....

but seriously...why all the threads lately??? Has nothing I, 2000GT, or ZW99 said been noticed? Guess first hand experience doesnt mean much....

sometimes you gotta step outta the box man. just because everybody says "FI FTW!!!" doesn't mean that everybody in the world with a mustang has to buy a supercharger and not try anything else. never know what might happen. the stroker kit's either going to work out, or it's not. i'd like to see how much power i can get n/a before diving into the supercharged club. i'll post #'s & times when it all gets together.....
