What is his converter at? My friend has an 00 camaro ss and his converter is at 4000. But yeah you will lose most likely. If it didnt have a converter you can beat him from a dig. Alot of people give the LS1 too much credit. Dont get me wrong they are a great engine but the autos suck after 135mph. As well as my auto. But yeah you will lose no matter if its tuned or not. Sorry. They just start off with more HP than us. Almost 75 more.

i have a friend who has a 99 LS1 trans am he had a volant intake uncatted Y-pipe and SLP 1 catback short shifter, he raced my friends 02' GT and he had a mac pro chamber, mac cat back, BBK cai, 75mm throttle body+plenum, short throw and a diablo sport tune and the trans am beat him by about 2 cars

The autos should not be falling off at 135, espcially not if they have the 2.73 rear gear.
