Default More Brake Stuff

So good news for anybody who likes/loves baer brakes. I found out that the brake bias had been set up so that the balance between front and rear was a perfect 50/50, so thats why the rear pads wore out so quickly. Once the bias is set up to the front more, the wear becomes much less apparent (and much more manageable). With the Baer Track Plus Kit (two piece 13" rotors to reduce weight), the front callipers use 99-04 Cobra pads, which I found out are only a mere $78.00, which is alot better than $200 something for the rears.

So does anybody know how to change the brake bias? Im guessing its on the brake master cylinder, possibly what look like two bleeder valves and a nut? If anyone could let me know how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

But yeah, great brakes once they don't cost you an arm and a leg, the fronts barely wear at all, and I do alot of autocrossing and stuff like that, of course they have only been on for one year, so we'll see.

Are you saying someone setup your specfic brakes to 50/50? The factory setup is definatly not 50/50.

You can get the entire front cobra kit, with calipers/pads/rotors for around 300-400 bucks.

and yeah, someone set them up for a 50/50 balance, or more towards the rear, which is great for trail brakeing around a track, but not good for wear. just wondering if anyone knew how to set them up more towards the front.

i don't think the factory setup provides a way to adjust the bias. did they install a proportioning valve?

yeah, I don't have any Idea if they put a proportioning valve in there, I don't know that much about the brake system. I took a couple pictures of the master cylinder, I don't even know if its the factory set up.

I know they installed stainless steel lines, and the whole baer track kit, but I don't know if they put anything else in. Like I said, any help is greatly appreciated, I just dont like paying to replace the rears when the fronts don't have any wear at all

Not anymore, check AM pricing lately? Now it's more like 500-600.[:@] Should have bought them when you did.
