Nope, I'm afraid not. The gears are the one thing that I'm definitely not changing out.

Sorry to hear that man. At least you'll be staying in the family with a S197.
Will you be selling that Xcal Tuner?

I don't know about the Xcal yet. I guess it really depends on the buyer, but the car is soooo much more fun to drive with the tune. Since it is an automatic, the firmed shifts make a huge difference. Plus, the tune is the only thing correcting the speedo. But, someone that doesn't know any better may think the firm shifts are a sign of transmission problems.

I'm not sure if I'm going to change the tune to stock and leave the speedo corrected for the gears, get a speed cal and sell the Xcal (Or keep it for my next car, for that matter), or keep it the way it is.

Will you sell the JLT? Is it a RAI? What color is it?

I may be interested...just tired of looking at the stock rubber snorkel.

I might sell it. Time for Miller has already PM'd me and has dibs if I do sell it. I'll make a new thread when I am ready to start selling parts though, if all goes well, it will still be about three weeks before I start taking things off. [&o] That'll be a sad day.

Definitely return it to stock as much as possible. It will be easier to sell that way, and you will be able to get some of your money back. When people look at a car and see that it has been modded, the immediately assume it has been beat to hell.

^ BUt then you get the younger crowd who fall in love with it and don't see if its been beaten whether or not if it was or not and will pay asking price just to get their hands on it.

If I see any mods, even a catback, I look away. I would put it as close to stock as possible. Don't mention mods like the gears unless you think the person looking at it would be interested in them.

I've got a guy on my local forum that is interested. I know any of the guys there would want all of the mods to stay. If it goes to AutoTrader I'll start returning things to stock, except gears and cosmetics.

I'm still not sure on the tuner vs. speedcal. A speedcal would be easier to hide, and I wouldn't have to explain anything.
