Nitrous Question
What is the highest shot of nitrous you can safely run on a 2000 GT? Also, about how much power should I be making with full bolt on's, minus cams and heads, and with a 100 shot of nitrous on my 2 valve?
Thanks, Logan
Thanks, Logan
A friend of mine has a 99 gt vert with gears, exhaust and a stall. He was running a 200 shot dry on it for nearly two years before it finally took it's toll on the stock shortblock. Afterward he put another stock motor from ford back in it for whatever stupid reason and is running a 175 wet kit on it now with a good tune and has for a year now with no problems. He also has bigger injectors and fuel pump as well though. I don't know how much power he's puttin down but the car runs 7.8x in the 1/8th. I recommend you stick with no more than a 150 shot with a good tune though to be safe.

full bolt ons plus a 100 shot you should see anywehere from 360-380ish rwhp. with around 450-470ish tq. i think my car could hold a 150 shot...should put me at 410rwhp which is a pretty safe number...just get it tuned whatever you do
