Default Midpipe or Gears?

Kinda torn between the two. Gears seem like a great idea, but I an not upgrading tires or suspension and without doing so I'm not convinced even 3.73's are going to do much for me. hypothetically if you lined my car up as is with an identical clone of my car, but with 3.73's, I'm not convinced one the one with 3.73's is going to be any quicker (without a tire upgrade).

on to my midpipe question..I want catted. So MRT catted H.
1) will it sound substantially better than my current setup with mac catback? I'm not interested in paying $500 unless it will sound a LOT better.
2) will the cats actually function..ie will they prevent my CEL from coming on? the whole point to me in going catted is 1) smell and 2) no CEL's.
3) any SOTP gains with the mrt catted h?

ideas appreciated.

Gears if you want performance, Mid pipe if you just want to sound intimidating.

gears without a doubt! if you plan on staying in the ~400RWHP, get 4.10s, if you plan on going all the way, get 3.73

but seriously though, with no tire or suspension upgrade, you honestly think 3.73's are going to do all that much for me?

So an mrt catted h..maybe 5-8 RWHP?

Your car already has an H pipe on it from the factory. You probably won't see any gains unless you go to an X pipe, and even then it won't be much. I would go with gears!!

the car already has gears from the factory too! A new catted h-pipe will sound better, not not offer as much gains as an O/R one. i Got my O/R one for $75.
