Heres the situation I have a 02 GT my friend has a 01 gt, now I amarguing that the 94-01 gts have t-45 trannys, the 02-04? have t3650. He says 94-04 have t-45
Other then the t-45's have a mechanical speedo the t-3650 have electrial speedo what other information could I use to prove who is right?

I started this since at least I didnt have a t45 tranny because of the vibration im having with the 3650 atm.

 

you are more correct than he is.

99-01.5 GT's have the t45.

01.5-04 have the 3650.

so there are 01's with either tranny depends if they were made in the first or second half of 01. you can tell i believe by just checking the tag in the door that has your vin on it, i think its got the tranny listed right on it. if not just compare your pulleys, the 99-01.5 has a rounded looking pulley i think on the waterpump. its flat on the 01.5 up.

 

96-98 borg warner t45 - mechanical speedo
99-01.5 tremec t45 - electrical speedo
01.5-04 tremec t3650 - electrical speedo
