yea but it doesnt have cassett, the headunit doesn't matter for the questions im asking, although u had cassette and i have cd, our data cables in the trunk are the same, which is where i think my problem might be.

if your using a stock head unit witch is not ideal..... you need to buy an adapter that is speaker wire on one end and rca on the other... that is were you will get your rca input to the amp from the remote will goto a wire that gets hot when the ignition is on. the rest is just power and ground then the speaker wires. the rca adapter needs to tap into the rear speakers, speaker wire.

i followed this from mustangworld but i didn't use all 4 wires from the data cable since i was using just 1 sub and 1 amp, was i supposed to splice all 4?

i followed the mustangworld while wireing one sub and one amp onto my stock 6disk 460. no problems, had it in for over a year and a half.

hey, can you tell me how you spliced the data cable in the trunk and how u put it into the line-out converter?
