I just installed a new 75mm throttle body on my 1999 4.6 Gt and the check engine light is staying on. Do I have to install a new upper 75mm plenum to have light shut off? any help would be great! Thanks

 

you don't have to put a new plenum on. did you make sure all the wires and hoses are hooked back up how they were? if you've got a handheld tuner that can read codes, then try that, or you can take it to an auto parts store, i think most of them can read it as well. if not, then try swapping the original back on there and see if the light goes off, but a new tb shouldn't trigger a check engine light.

 

unplug ur battery than put it back on. If the light returns in a couple of hours or a day then get ur handheld and delete it.

honestly it might just go away over time. When first installed my CAI my light stayed on for about a day then just turned off. The sensor had to adjust itself to the new amount of air coming through. Hopefully its nothin serios. I dont think it is though.

 

give it a day or so then take it to autozone and get it checked
