Default 130k miles too high?

I'm looking at a 1999 coupe with 130k miles on it. it runs great, auto, driven by an older lady. I am looking at paying 6500 for it. Now I'm starting to worry that it's too many miles. I have already dropped a 100 dollar deposit on the car, but I can easily walk away without it (keeping the other 6400 bucks). I'm in a position where I need a car asap, and I'm having trouble finding deals nearby.

Are there any specific issues I should look for before handing the guy the rest of the scratch? The car is very clean, clean carfax, just has a lot of miles on it.

thanks in advance.

You're never too old and the car can never have too many miles.

is she the only owner? cause if thats the case, no big deal.. but just because you are buying from her doesnt mean some kid didnt rag it out before she got it

She is not the only owner, but it *seems* like it's been all adult owned. I don't see any signs of dumb kid driving at all. I know that doesn't mean much, but it's all I got.

i would just look for the usual "prolly not a good buy" signs (uneven tire wear, broken fenderwells, signs of arepaint, fluid spots where its usually parked, etc..) Dont think its too bad abuy though. i'd say maybe 6 flat

+1

You might look at getting something cheap to drive for now and save a little bit of money b/c you can find a fairly low mileage GT for not a whole lot more than 6500. (look on autotrader)
