Default Problem with a P-1

My charger is three years old and until now I haven't had any problems with it. I went to P'cola las week and ran a 02 gt with a vortech. I was on the gas for the run but just couldn't pull on him. I didn't know what was going on but found out when I got home. My belt, which was only a few hours old, was shreaded again. I thought it was my tensioner so I put another belt and tensioner on yesterday and took it up the road. I rolled in it in second gear and found my power problem. The car only makes 6 lbs of boost and falls back down to about 2 lbs after it hits the 6 lb peak. I poped my hood and found that the seal behind the pulley on the charger is leaking fluid on my belt and pulleys. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm going to borrow a buddies D-1 for the time being and replace the seal but if this thing is going to keep doing that I'll get rid of it and just go turbo. I haven't had any belts shread and get hung up between the pulley and charger so I don't know what caused the seal to go bad?

When I do an oil change in mine, it leaks a little but not nearly as bad as what your describing and mine is 4yrs old. The only problem i've had so far is my ATI Idler went bad. I ordered a new one from ATI and a new belt. Not long after that I went to start my car and it didn't quite grag when i let off the key. It choked for a second before it finally started and when it choked it somehow jumped the belt over one rib and thredded the out side of my new belt. My lesson learned for the day was wait until the engine has fully grabbed before letting off the key.

I've taken my charger off several times. Every time I could turn it any way I wanted to and no oil would leak out from anywhere. When I took it off yesterday and turned to to the side the oil literally poured out from the seal. I don't think that's right? When I drove it I got really bad belt slippage and only made 6 lbs of boost and the pulleys, supercharger and belt had oil on it from the charger. I had that same pulley go out on me one time. My charger was about a year old when it went. Procharger sent me a new pulley and belt for free.

I'd have it sent out for a rebuild or trade it in for a new one, if you have another ride.I don't have an x-tra car I can drive if mine were to take a crap on me. I'd like to have mine rebuilt though.

I have another ride. Mine is used for special occasions and weekend warrior. I'm looking into getting a turbo kit for it now. I don't like having belt issues at all.
