So the hot rod shop that i work at is full of bowtie freaks and all they do is call fords and stangs in particular as slow pieces of junk with boat anchor motors. They hate my car and I dont know why, heck I dont even think they know why..but anyways, since chevy cant come out with a fast affordable car, the one guy is going to buy a Charger SRT-8. Hes already talkin about how hes gonna smoke my "racecar". Now I have right around 300rwhp with 4.10s and a 5 speed. Can I take this joker or should I just drive my ranger to work and not give him the satisfaction of beating me?

 

I'd hope so. I know I wouldn't fear any Charger SRT8. Hell my dads is waiting on his Challenger SRT8 to come it, I can't wait to line it up with him.

 

Those srt's are heavy. If I remember correctly, MMFF did a test on the srt8 and the 07 GT, The srt8 was like 340hp but because of the weight it couldn't beat the stang in the 1/4.

I would run it. if you win, than the crappy ford beat a 40,000 mopar. If you lose, he still spent 4 times on his car to what you spent on your car.

 

Im really hopin Id get him. Hes also building a 64 Chevelle 4 door wagon with a 502 in it. Its gonna have all the bells and whistles like a/c, full audio, air ride, 3 row seats, 20s, and an auto with 3.55 gears. I think even with all that hed still get me with 502 hp, but atleast Id beat his Dodge...lol

built motor, built rear (4.10's), some suspension and a bad driver. I'll be spraying a 150 shot soon (hopefully in the next week or 2). I'd like to squeeze some high 10's out of it.

 

01GT4.6, ur car is exactly what I wanted since the day I bought mine. Built with a small shot of spray. Im thinkin since I have all the boltons with Stage 2 cams, Im gonna do some Fox Lake stage 2 heads, an MMR 600 shortblock and a 150 shot (possibly a direct port kit, but its big bucks). Anyways, great job on the car and its nice to see someone else that didnt just slap on a blower and call it a day...

 

haha thanks. I've been running N2O for 5 years and finally went into the motor. I'm just glad that most of the guys that did slap on a blower and call it a day would probably lose to meon the motor. That wasn't really why I did it, I just wanted to go 10's, with some more seat time and N2O I hope to be there... and to do it without a cold air and on the stock intake.
