Terminator or 05 GT?

RE: Terminator or 05 GT?
my opinion is go for the cobra.performance wise and looks wise its a no brainer.in a couple years that 2005 gt is just going to be a 2005 gt and not svt cobra #567.the edge bodystle especially the cobra body style is alot nicer than the s197.and if you plan on modding the car , you wont need to buy forged internals and you come with a blower stock that with a pulley change ,and ported, could make some decent numbers on a stock factory blower.

the 05 holds its value better imo, not to mention its just a plain better car.. termies are nice, but it depends on your goals. If the eaton can take you where you want to go - go cobra, if your going to replace everything anyway then use a better platform and car that will hold alot more value - 05+ gt.

RE: Terminator or 05 GT?
Thanks for the responses everyone! Keep the votes and replies coming. I used to have a 99GT which I built up to run a best 1/4 time of 11.7, but it sucked on the street having a tubular K, prostars, and coilovers. I think that with a saleen body kit, the 05-08 platform looks better than the 03-04 termi. But once again, the limitations of the 3v are very clear. That block isn't going to handle anything over 450 without being forged. I wonder if a t-56 and 4v will fit in the 05? Best of both worlds! Hell, at that point it may be worth getting the 05 v6 andmaking it into what I want, assuming that it would be advantagous from a cost perspective. My knowledge of the v6/v8 differences in the S197isnil other than the engine and tranny.
Insurance wise, I'm paying 450 every 6 months full coverage with my daily driver. Adding the Cobra will bump it up to around $900 every six months, and the 05 GT puts it at $800 per six months. I'm very familar with the 99-04 style, so that does have it's advantage but by the same token, the S197 platform is new and exciting to me. If I get the terminator, a 2.8 whipple is going on it and whatever I need to support it. If I can't have the new look, I'm going to make damn sure that I take full advantage of the 4v.

snake all the way. you will get respect with the snake you wont get with a s197.
and wtf a 3v 325hp s197 running low 12's? are you kidding?
maby that just seems odd to me, its a mid 13's car stock.

If your looking to save some money and get the better deal, I'd probably say go get the 05. I've been driving an 06 V6 while my car was getting fixedand Iwas impressed with how fast it was. I imagine the gt pulls really good, plus the new interior is awesome. But if you have enough money and are more worried about going fast id say get the termi. The cobra is obviously the baddest stang out there, but sometimes your decision should be made by your budget/your situation.
