Cobra is a 4 valve Dual OverHead Cam
Pre 2005 is a 2 valve

 

Still think I'm gonna go with the SVT

Im gonna say your probably gonna need some bolt-ons to beat a cobra. O/R midpipe, cat back, TB+plenum, CAI, 4.10's, maybe some DR's and a short throw for faster shifting. The 4.6 DOHC's are pretty quick dude.

 

If its a stock 03/04 cobra, you aint going to beat it unless you have a blower pushing 10 + psi with mods or lots of no2. I think the 99 02 cobras are somewhere near 320 crank hp. Keep thosebolt ons comming if you wanna take one.
