Typical issues are spark plug blow outs and a few people have had issues with timing chains here.

Best plan would be to run a leakdown/compression test every so often and as long as you have no detonation, knocks or smoke you can feel fairly confident nothing is going to go bad.

so i should feel confident if i put new heads, cams on. should i even worry about the bottom end at all. i have had a pinging issue witch i believe it was from ditination but is fixed now with a custom tune. if the ditination didnt cause any issues before could it cause any in the future? i wanna get my car to push 300 to the rear. or should i not even waste my time with the 2v?

If your motor wasn't trashed on that thing will hold on for a lot longer than you think. 65k on a taken care of 4.6 is almost as good as rolling out the factory. Forget heads/cams that doesn't add much power for your money, you could get a 75-100 shot for 1/3rd the cost and be well over your goal.

There's people on here with nitrous/SC with 150k+ miles. Keep that in mind.

if you look at the hp and tq that im already pushing with the mods i have seems that my stang is taking well to mods and if i put on a set of heas and cams i wounder if i would be pushing 300 rwhp.

Ported heads and cams will get you your 300 rwhp(a bit more actually) but it's not worth it. You're looking at well over $2000 for a 50 rwhp mod

If your on a budget a nice shot of nitrous will be way cheaper and get you much more than 300 rwhp.

If the motor is fine before the S/C then yes they hold up fine. There was one guy on here with like 197k and a blower on there. An S/C and nitrous cause the same stress on a motor but hey it's your car

Thanks for the car compliment[8D]
