Default Anyone use the sniper tuning software?

I don't really like the hand held tuners and was wondering if anyone had experience with the sniper tuning software? It is like $340 on ebay new...and I feel confident in my ability to tune the car, especially with the help of my mechanic. Any words of wisdom or experience would be great, thanks!

I use it for both of my mustangs and its great. Very easy to use and way better then a hand held. I will never use a hand held again.

it gives you a lot more control than any handheld i've ever seen, and their support is top notch. definitely worth the money. they have a forum on their web site and if you ever have any questions, post em up there and you'll usually get a response from either other Sniper users or an employee within an hour. another plus is that you can tune multiple vehicles by purchasing additional "bullets" rather than having to buy separate tuners. and if you don't already have one, get a wideband o2 sensor while you're at it. you don't want to go adjusting your a/f mixture without one.

The Sniper software works very well. Wetune our company /customer cars with it.

There are two versions you can go with. The Special Forces and Commando. Going with the Commando will give you all the parameters to play with!

Here is a link for more info onthe Sniper software

i don't mean to jack the thread, but i've got a question for you Casey. i've got the basic Special Forces right now and i've heard that i can upgrade to Commando and only have to pay the difference between SF and Commando without having to actually buy an entirely new interface/software package. any truth to this?

I have it and love it. I will never go back to a handheld. I will admit the Commando software is gonna take some getting used to if you go that route, but its worth it. And yes, you can upgrade your Special Forces to Commando. You need to get with Sniper or a Sniper dealer and purchase the Commando software. They are seperate programs.
