Looking at clutches
I drive a 97 248-a and i am getting ready for full exhaust....lt headers, midpipe w/ cats, and cat back and BBK CAI...but i need a clutch too.....i been looking at clutches for my ride which is a dd but street/strip track on weekends what are your ideas on clutch i been looking at the spec stg 2, fidenza 2.1, or even the king cobra ....so are the throw outs and pilots crap from these kits...i also looked at the "stock" replacement from autozone/ advance auto for half the price and limited lifetime warrenty....so let me know what i should get for the future set up....
I have the Spec and I will tell you that the TOB on it sucks somehing aweful. It squeaks a lot and goes bad really quick. The tage 3 is a bit much for my DD, but I still love the feel. That clutch grabs like nothing I have ever experienced! It is hard to deal with every day, but works awesome when you wanna go fast. King Cobra, from what I have heard, is the way to go.
I've heard mixed reviews with the KC clutch. I replaced the clutch in my Cobra with a FRPP HD clutch.. Cost me 200$ (my cost). Pedals feels light, smooth, and hardly any chatter at all. And easily has 300whp and will see more in the future.
