It's probably the best route to go if you don't know much about suspension to get something that's already been put together. You know what you're gonna get, but you'll also pay a premium price.
Oxfordgt has a pretty sweet suspension (from what he says ) that apparently dead hooks in wet sand going uphill with 4.56 gears using mostly QA1 stuff so do a search on his previous posts. I'm sure something like that could be done for the same price range.
