Exactly^^^^

To the OP's original question, a 4v head swap is possible. Its a headache trying to align coolant passages, etc, but yes it can be done. The cheapest way to get the job done is to find a donor car from what I've been told. I took the lazy way out and just bought a Mach though[8D]

You probably wouldn't be able to do it without a donor car. I hear that because of all the tiny odd's and ends that you need, and nobody produces, you wouldn't be able to do the complete swap without an extra cobra or mach sitting right next to you

why need a 32v when you have a supercharger?
Like I said, using a 32v is like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly, it's a bit of overkill, you will never need that kind of power on the street, and you can usually go just as fast for a reasonably similar ammount of money using a 2v. Why have a 16" long ******* when an 8" one will get the job done? Sometimes more is just too much, even when dealing with horsepower
+1 by all means, if you already have a 32v then your a step above the rest. But if you have a 2v, unless you find a rediculously good deal on a whole 03-04 cobra motor with PCM and harness, its not worth it. You can build a 2v to produce 800+hp if you really want to. Thats more than enough power than you will ever need for a street car.

If the 4v engines were cheaper, then it would be worth it. But the way it is, even for a used 03-04 cobra motor your looking at spending $7,000 including harness. For thousands less, you can supercharge your 2v and have 400+hp.
for 7k you can have a vortec and a shortblock and push alot more than 400 rwhp
I was saying you can supercharge a 2v for much less than 7K and still have the 400+hp. No doubt for 7k you can get a forged shortblock and blow the **** out of it.

I have made the case before, but up until about 600 WHP, assuming you already have a working 2v engine, you can pretty much match the power output of a 4v swap for less money.

After 600 WHP I would say its time for a 4v swap (without nitrous + FI).

Even if you get a 4v, your still limited to around 400-450 WHP on the stock shortblock, so both need a aftermarket one. Both will require a fuel system upgrade, and both require all the other little stuff (little lol) like transmission, suspension etc.

Basically you end up spending just as much on a 4v swap as you would on a built 2v setup, and IMO I would rather have a aftermarket head, aftermarket cam, aftermarket intake 2v than a stock top end 4v in almost every situation up to 600~ WHP.

I have to disagree that you would need a donor car to do it though. There are kits out there, and its not THAT much work compared to just removing the stockers and replacing them with aftermarket 2v stuff.

One major issue is the extreme cost of aftermarket stuff for a 4v H/C setup. Cams alone are 1100+, not to mention valvesprings etc etc.

IMO i just think doin the 32V is a lot more street cred then just a plain PI swap. But that's just my opinion. But both are def the thing to do.

I believe the cost of parts and labor will be way more than what you would spend on a set of stage 2 or 3 heads and cams for a 2v. If I wanted a 4v I would get a Mach 1 or Cobra.
+(wheres the button for the symbol for infinity?)

If you wanted a 4V, you shouldn't have bought a 2V. why don't we switch? because 2V gets it done just fine for us[8D]

2V FOR THE WIN!!!!!
