A Catback is everything from the muffs back to the tails. Mufflers are just mufflers.

The mandrel bent tubing will be bigger, sound better, look better and last the life of the car most likely.

In other words, just welding in mufflers is just a cheap hack way of doing the job.

an SLP loudmouth 2 will be way louder than your stock setup, trust me. Hell my Mac catback is way louder than a stocker and I know an SLP is easily louder than my Mac. Luv the Mac though, such a pure note. and a good price at like 420 shipped. go with all stainless, whichever one you pick. not sure who told you they aren't loud. Loud is a relative term I guess. Maybe to someone that drive top fuel it's whisper quiet, but to most people it would be considered loud. That's why it's called a loudmouth.

if you want it loud, just unhook your exhaust after the cats. mine sounds like i have a chambered exhaust...but i dont. the flows just dont flow.

So are you saying my unassembled 3"Dynomax system that I ordered, chopped, and welded together won't last as long as any other aluminized steel system because had I to weld in the mufflers?

yes and no. It's loud, but you sound like a truck going down the road now. Good job................. if thats the sound you were going for. [:-]But, Flowmasters really don't flow all that well. If you don't believe me chop one if half. All that baffling theywelded in creates resistance, but also that sound that people always associate with mustangs.
