Default 1997 GT Smoking

Hello all,
This is my first post on Mustangforums.com. After being on other sites as a member Icould not getthe the support returned to me
as I have helped others so I hope this becomes a mutual deal here.
I have an old 79 mustang, I know carbs and non electronics but very mechanically inclined.I had beenlooking for a daily driver and decided
I am finally gonna get what I want and the wife isnt gonna stop me... I purchased a 1997 GT auto from the auction with the help of a buddy
with a dealerslicense. I am starting to think this was a mistake.. It's a decent looking car. Decent interior. 4.6L with CAI and Pulleys. When driving it
for the first time from the auction I loved it.. It had power after giving it a little gas I seen A large amount of smoke behind me. After parking
this beast, popped the hood and noticed a crack in the intake where one of the heater hoses go to the firewall. Well I got a new intake.
The intake has been put on. Driving down the road yesterday, for the first real drive I've had in this car, when I give it a little peddle
to pass a car on the freeway a large cloud of smoke came out then went away. Only does it when I gas it...
then today I cranked it up. let it idle for few minutes, it sounds good, no smoke.. Gas it and it is very hesitant with the throttle response
and then picks up RPM. Guys I really need some help with troubleshooting this thing with so many sensors and electronics. Has anyone
had a similar problem? Do I need to start looking for a Long Block?
Sorry for the book I am just excited about my car butspooked of the situation.. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, I got some more info.. Tonight I figured I would check the plugs, all was fine but # 4 cylinder. Plug was wet. The puzzling thing to me is it was wet on the threads also. If it was oil it was very clean. I wish I would have struck a lighter under it to see if it was fuel but I didnt.

Question. Can oil go through the PCV and make its way into the cylinder? I pulled the PCV and took a Qtip to the inside of the tube and oil is present. To me this would mean oil is being collected in the intake.
