Default Would you do this?

I have an 05 Mustang GT with under 20k miles but nothing done to it except exhaust. I have a chance to possibly sell it and buy an 04 Cobra with about 40k miles on it with 500+rwhp for $18000. Would you sell your 05 GT for an 04 Cobra with nothing wrong with it except needs a new Intercooler Pump and brake pads. Would you? Gimme reasons why or why not if you would.

what all is done to the cobra? 500rwhp means he iether ported the stock blower or hes got a new sc on it (i think 450 is the max with the stock eaton unless its ported). either way 18g's is not a bad deal for that car. but make sure you drive it and feel confident buying it that car could have had the snot beaten out of it (as most cobras do).

you've had your 05gt since you bought it which means you know how it was maintained. how much do you owe on it? you could throw a SC on your car and knock out some nice numbers too.

cobra will hold its resale value, i'm not a fan of the s197's but like i said...you've had this car i'm guessing since it had very very few miles on the clock and i'm sure you've done proper maintenance and taken care of the car. kind of curious why hes selling that car for only 18g's he should be able to get 20+ easy out of that car unless they've gone down in value over the last 2-3 months.

+1 from above. You are from a car that you have maintained to a car that has been modded. I would trade my Mach in a heartbeat for ONLY a termi. I also am not a fan of th 05 and up. Plus around here, you can't find a Cobra for less than $23K. Have you driven it yet?

he is selling cause it was his son's car (age= approx 30) and there is NO market for them around here. His younger son has driven it some and I know it has been ragged on some, but for 18g's or less its not a bad deal. I have not had a chance to drive it because I'm unsure if I am going to be able to. I have to sell my 05 GT for the cash to buy the 04 Cobra. It needs an Intercooler Pump and Brake Pads, but thats all. The supercharger HAS been ported and the numbers are over 500rwhp...I know for a fact. The car is in clean, well-maintained condition. The S197 is not bad, but it doesnt have the look or power I LOVE, but the Cobra does.

I would buy it, I think the Cobras look better than the s197's and are faster, 18k is not a bad price at all for one
