SOHC vs. DOHC

The reason I put so much money into making my gt fast is because I have much more pride in my car when I pull up to an 03-04 cobra and stomp it like it was a non pi gt.

Im I missing something here? What mods do u have to enable u to stomp cobras? I mean, are u running 12.6's at the track, cause thats what properly driven termis run in stock form. If u truely can beat them with your mods, u have an awesome pkg for sure.

I decided to put the money in my GT for various reasons.
1st...I wouldnt buy any 4v besides a terminator or GT500 due to the fact the rest of the 4v have the same HP limit to the stock shortblock as the GT. 2nd...I already had the GT
3rd...the price of the car and insurance of the terminator just wouldnt be a wise decision for me since I am in college and my current car looks good enough and itll beat a stock terminator.
4th...I like the learning experience I acquire from building my own monster
5th....I prefer the torque table of the 2v
6th...Everyone expects a cobra or mach to be very fast...very few expect a GT to be that quick which makes me unique
7th...I like the sound of the GT throughout the rpm band...even though the 4v has a better idle
8th....The GT can easily be made into a 600rwhp beast and that is clearly fast enough for me on the street
9th...As mentioned above I am 20 and 4v insurance just doesnt fit my budget. Id prefer not to spend all my money on a car.
10th...The GTs gas mileage OWNS the 4v gas mileage

people talk alot of trash, butI dont see so many stock cobras in mid 12's anyway, I know of several pullied and ported cobras still in the low 12's... I think some of our svt friends suffer from wishful thinking in some respects, not thats not possible or I am calling anybody a liar, but I do know for a fact that alot people buy a pulley, look at the website and say "mine car runs high 11's now"... just my .02
