first, i got a quote for 450 to install longtubes. does that sound fair?

sounds reasonable. cause its apain to change those on our cars. it all depends on how the mechanic is gonna doit. some drop the K-member, others lift the engine just enough to get them in.

he said he would drop it. i just have/had the oppotunity to trade my stock manifolds for some bbk longtubes, but thats just too much money for me
