i dont think stage 2 heads and cams enjoy 6800rpm do they??? well they may, but i doubt the engine likes it. you may blow a rod or something

if you are going to spend the $$$ go with stage IIs or a custom grind then if you ever modify your engine you won't need another set of cams. Plus stage IIs sound more aggressive but you will need springs.

thats what my idea is... because i want to build a short block i just wanted to know that i can run stage 2 heads and cams safely even if i cant use their full potential

So on stage 1's u dont have to get new springs? I thought when ever u switched out cams u should replace the springs.

If your gonna build a short block and do heads then definitely get a stage 2 (or custom grind) I have stage 2 VTs on stock heads and shortblock and I LOVE them...and the car runs very well with them...

haha yeah i was just about to ask the same question... what kind of numbers are you putting down with out the heads?
