I have never heard bad things about comp cams stage 1s

...but....

You will probably spend a good 5-600 on cams, have you considered just saving for a s/c or you could buy a nitrous kit for that kind of money if you are into that sort of thing. Just a suggestion. Good luck either way.

i dont want nitrous and i dont want to blow this motor, my friend in a bolt on GT blew a rod through his block, id rather just wait and do it the right way. so i wana cam it to just have some more power then i have now because im getting bored, but i dont wana get heads right now and spend that much money. But if i get them im gana get a custom tune, how much hp do you think ill get?

as far as cams if your gonna do it, do it right and get ported heads to go along with the cams.

and persoanlly i wouldent waste my time with stage 1's at least stage 2's

Stage 2 Cams

if i went stage 2 i know i have to get new springs but if i was to wait on the heads and do that another time because of money, i know i wouldnt see as much hp gains but would it still run good?

I think that i am just going to go with stage 1's because with stage 2 you need the springs and a tune is "required" I also just dont think i need to be shifting at 6800 rpm. Not worth it for an extra 5-10 hp IMO
