4.10 = annoying drone at high speeds, less gear, and less traction... 3.73 is a good mod if you dont have money to add suspension and sticky tires all at the same time.. otherwise, launching will be impossible

Do you have either in your stang??

To the OP... 3.73's are nice... i've got them, wish i would have went steeper.. When it's time to upgrade the rear, I will be going with something more aggressive.

3.73's are great for some cars and not for others.......I looked at what I really needed and decided that what I got was the best for me. For others 4.10 would be a better gear. Just gotta look at how and where you drive your car. Either way you will notice an improvment and a smile will appear on your face when you get on it

i have 3:73s and I like them. if i had to choose again, Id pick 3:90s but never 4:10s. My car is my daily driver so 4:10s would be annoying.

what is everyones problem with 410s and dd cars? i get WAY better city gas mileage now.. and my highway mileage has only droped like maybe 2mpg. i dont shift any more than i did before... only difference is i get use out of 5th. there is entirely too much misinformation given on this forum lol

At 75mph my RPMS are really high. I try to keep it in the low 70s which still seems high. I cant imagine having 4:10s. The offroad exhaust sure doesnt help the noise though....

It's not misinformation, it's an opinion. Rezarxt is more than happy with his 3.73's and they're steep enough for him. Who cares if you have 4.10's and swear by them, Hoss? I know a lot of people that use 3.73's and love them, I know some people who put in 3.73's and wanted to or have already switched to 3.90's or 4.10's, and I know people who complained about 4.10's being too much gear. It's a personal opinion, not misinformation. Personally, I've been in a GT with 4.10's and I think they're fine. Highway RPM is a bit high, but it's manageable. But at the same time I've never been in a Stang with 3.73's so I'm still not 100% sure.
