It's not misinformation, it's an opinion. Rezarxt is more than happy with his 3.73's and they're steep enough for him. Who cares if you have 4.10's and swear by them, Hoss? I know a lot of people that use 3.73's and love them, I know some people who put in 3.73's and wanted to or have already switched to 3.90's or 4.10's, and I know people who complained about 4.10's being too much gear. It's a personal opinion, not misinformation. Personally, I've been in a GT with 4.10's and I think they're fine. Highway RPM is a bit high, but it's manageable. But at the same time I've never been in a Stang with 3.73's so I'm still not 100% sure.
im not talking about ppls opinions, im talking about ppl that post stuff... yet have no real world experience with it. like all the ppl that say gas mileage gets thrown out the door n stuff like that..

I hear whay you're saying, there's a lot of those idiots on here. It's hard to weed out all of the crap people say on here. And when I re-read my post it sounded kind of dick when I said "who cares what you have." Didn't mean it to sound like that.

how do they feel compared to stock?was it a noticable difference?im on the fence on 3:73 or 3:90s
get 4.10s.. you will be much happier i promise
whatever you do, DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT listen to HOSS 4.10's arent worth it at all. unless you dont like 1st gear or like traction at all for that matter. 4.10 IMO are overrated. 3.7's or 3.9's are plenty if you build your car right.

You know, after hearing all this crap on these forums about 3:73's and 4:10's, I just decided to go with 3:90's, at the same time, I put springs, and 315's on the rear, I still have traction problems in 1st and 2nd. Hopefully the UPR upper and lower control arms will help with this, if not, I still have a k member to do to lighten up the front end, and possibly a battery relocation to do.

4.10's are a great gear for around town and for freeway IMO, it pulls now on the freeway. With the stock gear it was crazy slow. And the mileage isn't a diff much at all comparing 3.73 to 4.10's. 70 mph 2400 (4.10's) 70 mph (2250). If it's gas mileage someone is looking for back down too 65 mph with 4.10's.

You guys cant really talk about gas mileage, everyone drives different. Everyyone should get around teh same mileage if both in city or both highway driving.

i just got my 3.73;s done but i havent really been able to get on it yet due to the break in process but you can definently tell a big difference especially in 5th gear ob the high way it feels like theres just so much more power in 5th gear there great.
