Default Typical midpipe install time?

I am looking at just going with an o/r pipe after seeing how expensive high flow ones are. How long does it take to drop one out and bolt the new one in. I will need to do it every year for inspection. Also if anyone knows, does o/r make your exhaust smell a lot more than with the factory pipe? I don't mind it at all, but I don't want to be getting myself into trouble for it (parents, if I were to ever be pulled over, etc.)

well if no rust...should take less than an hour...if u have rusted bolts on the manifold..u could run into some issuse without some heat or a **** load of penetrating oil

steeda's website gives little indications to how long it will take to do and their website says 1.5 hours with regular and a medium mechanic... i am sure they over estimate but like said above, rust and you are in for a little bit of elbow grease and a lot more time

I belive its gonna stink even more, because i noticed a stronger smell coming out of my exhaust. After i had my Bassani cattedX with the two high flow cats put in so. I only noticed the stronger smell at a start up in the morning when the car was cold. after that it seemed normal...

20 or 30 minutes with a lift. It's only 4 bolts, the catback bolts,and some 02 sensors.

It took me few hours (not going to be exact or I'll be laughed at out of the forums lol).
The smell is a bit stronger but its really not AS BAD as I was told. But hey I love the smell of gasoline so wtf do I know LOL.

The reason it took me so long is because I didn't have enough extensions to get to the passenger side bolt to the manifold. It also didn't help much that I was laying on my back with the transmission sitting 3 inches above me breathing down my neck lol.

lmao, hm, sounds familiar. that one passanger nut was a bitch. It took me about an hour and a half just to get the damn x off. just as i finished removing that one passenger nut a super long ext, i found the 3/8s swivel ext. i can only imagine how fun its going to be to install the shorties.
