MILS= waste. Take your mom out for dinner or something instead.

How so? From what I've heard MILs get the job done. I chose to save over $300 by not buying a tuner, hope that decision doesn't come back and bite me in the a$$!

My car has been cat-less now for 3 weeks and still no CEL. Although from what I have heard, it is only a matter of time before the light does come on.

"3 weeks" and "over a week" don't mean anything--how many miles under what driving conditions? It can take as much as 150 to 200 miles of closed loop operation before the PCM triggers the P0420/0430 codes. Here's the list of things that must be "just so" for the CEM (Catalyst Efficiency Monitor) to complete it's test cycle (cut and paste from the factiory shop manual):[*]Minimum 330 seconds since start-up at 70° F (21°C)[*]Engine coolant temperature is between 170° F (76.6°C) and 230°F (110°C)[*]Intake air temperature is between 20°F (-6°C) and 180°F (82°C)[*]Time since entering close loop is 30 seconds[*]Inferred Rear HO2S sensor temperature of 900° F (482° C)[*]EGR is between 1 and 12%[*]Part throttle, maximum rate of change 0.2 volts/0.050 sec[*]Vehicle speed is between 5 and 70 mph (8 and 112 km/h)[*]Fuel level greater than 15%[*]First Air Flow Cell[*]Engine RPM 1,000 to 1,300 rpm.[*]Engine load 15 to 35%.[*]Inferred catalyst temp. 850° F (454° C) to 1,200° F (649° C).[*]Number of front O2 switches: 50.
[ul][/ul][*]Second Air Flow Cell[*]Engine RPM 1,200 to 1,500 rpm.[*]Engine load 20 to 35%.[*]Inferred catalyst temp. 900° F (482° C) to 1,250° F (677° C).[*]Number of front O2 switches: 70.
[ul][/ul][*]Third Air Flow Cell[*]Engine RPM 1,300 to 1,600 rpm.[*]Engine load 20 to 40%.[*]Inferred catalyst temp. 950° F (510° C) to 1,300° F (704° C).[*]Number of front O2 switches: 30.
[ul][/ul]
[ul][/ul]
It takes 700 seconds (11.7 minutes)for the monitoring to complete, during which time all of the above criteria must be held. Short trip, "around town", driving will generally not meet all of these conditions. The test is executed once per driving cycle*, the CEM stores validated partial test cycle results and will not throw the DTC until all criteria have been met, this may takemanydrive cycles.-----------------------* - Adriving cycle is anyoperation in which the engine temperature is raised from cold (below120°F to normal operating temperature of above 160°F; and the air and coolant temps within 11°F of each other)--a single "trip" with stops to get a burger, buy beer, etc. may not allow the engine to cool sufficiently to be considered individual drive cycles.

I've been running without MIL's since last summer and haven't noticed a decrease.

For a while I had taken my O2 sensors out of the midpipe and ran liek that....sounded like dumps...really b.a.

Heres a vid of my car with the 02 sensors out: http://webridestv.com/showvideo.aspx?video=32596
