Default Exhaust Leak?

I installed my o/r x pipe yesterday. If the car is in neutral and irev it up, it all sounds really good, no mistery noises. If I'm driving though, there's a loud-clicking like noise which seems to get louder whenI give it some gas at low rpms (say 1500 rpm in 3rd gear). I'm not sure if the sound goes away at around 2200 rpm or the sound of the exhaust simply drowns it. This noise was audile before, but wasn't nearly as loud and only seemed to happen at low rpms in 5th gear. Is this an exhaust leak?

same exact noise/scenario i have!!!!! to clarify, i went this past weekend to put my car up on a lift and i tighted every bolt on my exhaust.. some tightened and others didnt. the noise subsided maybe like 20% but idk if its an exhaust leak.. the bolts cant get any tighter

anybody know ifits possible that it could b a leak where the headers connect to the heads???

I'll tighten them up today and see if it helps. I'm just not sure if the noise is being caused by an exhaust leak.

did you guys replace the gasket on the passenger side? i had a leaking sound when i first installed mine but i torqued the bolts after warming them up and it seems to have sealed up nice. my only guess would be from not replacing the gasket?

No I didn't. The local parts store didn't carry it so I was SOL. Although the sound seems to be coming from the driver's side.

NAPA sells that gasket for about 7-8 bucks, part number 61203 which is a felpro gasket, if the store doesn't have it they can get it for you. The noise will sound like its your driver side because thats the side your on, if you have someone else drive you might hear it more on the passenger. As far as torqing the bolts i just went as tight as i could. i dont know if there is a specification, i'm sure there is but i doubt you will hurt anything from over torqing.
