Default Seat issues!

Hey guys. A very happy day just turned bad. I got the 03 GT seats I bought off fleabay today and MAN, what a dissappointment.

First of all, there is a bulge on the bottom right side of the passenger seat that looks as if the "wing" thing is bent and pressing

against the leater. This will definately cause the seam to tear. I know it looks obvious from the pics, but I had no idea to even look

for that kind of problem (there was NOTHING about that in the description... see bottom for description)
(sorry bout large pics)

Secondly, up close the seats r not nearly as nice, there is some kind of white specs on the driver seat. The seller

packed the front control plate in with the driver seat and it made 4 new dimples in the leather. They are kinda dirty, and so on...

anyway, the point is, the description is as follows:

"Up for sale is a set of Ford Mustang Power Leather Bucket Seats that came out of a 2003 Munsang. They are Black Leather in color and are in great shape. They have the mustang stitching on them shown in the pics. The drivers seat is full power with power lumbar and the passenger seat is manual. They measure 21" wide 23" long and 38" tall with the head rest on. The tracks measure 10.5" wide on the front and rear, and 14.5" long on both sides. The have been tested to work perfectly. I don't know all the years or models they will bolt right into so please use the measurements or call your dealer. Shipping will be $115.00 total for both seats shipped to the lower 48 US states only and will be shrink wrapped, boxed and insured at whatever the sale price is. Good Luck!"

As you can see, makes no mention of ANY damage (I would hardly call these seats "GREAT"). I called the guy (he

was nice) and he told me to take themto an upholstry shop and have it looked at, which he would pay for. I am

doing that but I have a few questions in the meantime:

1. Are 03 GT seats supposed to recline (backward)b/c these barely do (forward is fine).

2. Has anyone come across a bent "wing," if so, is it correctable (or even worth correcting)?

3. If I paid $550.00+ $115 S&H= $662.00 for the frontseats (didI get ripped off?)... should I just get my $ back b/c he falsified the description BIG TIME?[:@]

p.s. please check out the link for more info, I could really use the help.(sorry if it does not work)[/align]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...62500&rd=1

THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!

From what I see, they look like they are in great shape. However I would remove the bottom skin of the passenger seat to see what is bulging out. I would seriously doubt that you would get mint condition seats from a 2003. Lots of bottoms have been rubbings against them during those 5 years. The price you paid for them was really high but I have seen worse.
