the 4.6 general discussion? It seems like everyone is afraid to speak their mind (besides me, because I'm so critical). It's like everyone here has thin skin, if you run a bad time... why shouldn't someone say so? People post a vid or pics of their car and ask for opinions and everyone is afraid to voice their opinion because they may offend someone. What ever happened to honesty? I don't go out of my way to call someone out but if there is a thread, I try to post my honest opinion.
Now I'm about to go to bed, so I won't reply until tomorrow but I invite everyone to post their HONEST OPINION to what I'm saying. Is everyone becoming too sensitive or does everone just need to 'man up'?

 

haha no you just sit on top of a mountain of self righteousness because you have butt loads of dough to spend on your car and you think everything you say or think is right. just my honest opinion though .

 

okay I haven't gone to bed yet. But... nice, I can appreciate the honesty. Anyone else?

 

oh and as for the butt loads of dough that I've spent on my car... JayC and others that have known me though the years know that I went many, many years spending as little as possible to get my car to run what it ran (in fact my signature sported all my stock parts because I had no mods to put in it). I unfortunatley got screwed over by a machine shop that lead me to spending more money that I every wanted to on my car, so it wasn't by choice.

once again I appreciate your honesty. But I've never claimed my car to put down anywhere near 350 hp NA. And you don't know my story, nor does the amount of money I spent / got screwed over on affect me knowledge of mustangs. Unlike most people who go by post count, money spent, mods, ET, etc as the gospel... I try to say what I know and not let the rest corrupt it. But seriously I'm going to bed now.. Feel free to post away livefast1, this isn't anything personally directed to you, but I do value your opinion. I'll check back tomorrow.

 

i just try to post the knowledge i have so others can benefit from it. all i stated were the facts in the other post. call i bench racing if you will but in all reality, i would never be surprised to see any 2v 4.6 disapointing people on a dyno. if you show any race engine builder a 2v 4.6, he would laugh at you (not saying you in a pointing fingers way just in general). all around it is a bad design in nature solely because of the heads.

Honestly, I think you're right. The only guys who seem to be entirely honest 100% of the time are the vets. I expect criticism when I run a bad time, and so should anyone else. It's how the criticism and advice is worded that makes this place friendly and helpful.

 

i get called an ******* for posting my opinion all the time. i dont really care tho, but it just gets annoying when u post something and u have jackasses that want to dispute everything...

 

it not what you say... its how you say and since we are on a forum its hard to READ sarcasim... i was just chewed out the other day cuz i said someone's hurst shifter looked like a long shifter cuz it came up to above where the radio deck sits. i know that no one would ever buy a shifter that would INCREASE the throw but he/she thought i was making fun of him. in honesty people need to grow up. if you get critized, its because it can be better THATS WHY YOU ARE BEING CRITIZED so work your a$$ off and make it better so the next time you post a time we say damn thats a good time. we can't go through life expecting compliments everyday or we would never improve AND this goes to all aspects of life not just the car. someone tells you your project at work isn't good, go back and do it again and make it good. someone tells you, you are dumb cuz you got a 60 on test... study for the next one and get a 90 and show that ******* up.
