Yes the auto has an extra 2-3% drivetrain loss but you put a shift kit and stall in the auto and good luck catching it.

People who are choosing a mustang on the 'faster transmission' will only be horribly disapointed. Get what you want.
I was (still am) pretty happy with my "faster transmission".

The 5 speeds are faster, before you add "well this and that".

Yes the 5 speeds stock for stock are faster but by what? A fendor? And that is considering the person can drive very well.

I have an auto but i prefer the 5 speeds. They each have their advantages though.

Have fun driving a big power (over 600whp) car on boost with an M5/M6. You'll be all over the place between gears.

same here i have an auto, rather have a 5 speed tho.. but i dont mind an auto.

I guess the benefit of the launch + the less drivetrain loss of hp doesn't mean anything at all? IMO, they are quicker by more than just a fender.

not as much to base your decision on it. it's just like choosing an X-Pipe over an H-Pipe cuz it gets 2 more hp. its not worth sacraficing what you would rather have.
