Default Kinda Dissapointed

I went to the track last weekend, to an 1/8 mile track. This is a 2003 mustang GT.
Here are my mods:

Plenum and 75mm TB, K&N cold air, Mac Prochamber, LM1 Catback, UD pulleys, 4.10 gears, and 315/35/17 nitto drags. My car is an Automatic. For some reason my stang can not even do a burnout with those drag radials!! Those tires seem to grab too much.[&:]

Anyway heres my best time:

60ft:2.08
1/8 mile: 8.929 @ 81.54

Should I be running alot quicker Or does that seem right? By the way the car is not tuned yet, will tuning make that much of a diff?

This is hte list for 1/8 so far this year. You don't seem to be overly lower than anyone else, and you have few power mods other than the prochamber.

Do you think a Dyno Tune/ or SCT will help?

Your car wont do a burnout? i find this hard to believe, i had an auto with stock gears and mts and those are way sticker and i never had a porblem doing one.

that is actually a VERY good time for your car based on what i have seen.... The only thing you have that gives any real power is your midpipe.. all your other bolt ons maybe total another 7-8 hp at the wheels... the 4.10's are also helping you. The 315 nittos are prob slowing you down as that is a lot of rotational mass and your car doesnt have a high enough stall to take advantage of the extra grip your tires provide

It's really not a bad time. I have basically the same mods except gears and I ran a 9.0 at 79. I would assume you would run a little faster than 8.9 due to the gears, but your times really aren't anything to be ashamed of.

once you get that thing tuned with the tranny shift points and firmness up that may take a couple tenths off. i'd say look into more power mods as well or even a stall and valve body. a stall will help you get out of the hole alot faster.
