I've had both original 40's and super 40's.

The original 40's are A LOT louder. The super 40's are quieter and much deeper sounding. Original 40's are illegal in states that have noise regulations too..

Yeah I double checked and called flowmaster with the part number from summit racing, and the 40 series they have as american thunder are the original 40 series.
