hmm yea i see what u mean. but if the guy above is runnin 9s with the stocker i dont see why some ARP bolts will make much of a difference. As far as outside the engine goes, on a car to me a bolt is a bolt sorry. They should all fit no problem since they are made for the 8.8 rear. unless theres some kind of aftermarket suspension mod in the way. but yea if your launching that hard man i think a girdle the LEAST of your worries... my question is how the hell your stock axles and diff are holding up. Since your looking for safety may i highly suggest an eaton posi and 31 spline axles. then you should be ok.

lol, I've been running an eaton posi and moser 31 splines for many years, along with a drivshaft loop. I don't doubt he's running 9's without one, but with my luck (bad luck) I wouldn't get away with it. I've gone 1.6's without one with no problem, I would just feel safe with one once my 60' times start dropping.

I ran a TA Performance on the Bucket and a Moser on the coupe. Just FYI...TA makes Moser girdles.

I run the T/A girdle and stud kit and could not be happier. The otherwise stock 8.8 (other than 3.73) lasted thru mulitple launches with 4000-4500 RPM clutch dumps, so it must have worked

edit: I don't see any reason to skip the girdle. the stock one is WIMPY if you look at it, and at least the t/a girdle comes with a drain plug so its SUPER easy to drain the fluid if you want to replace it. On top of that, they are cheap insurance anyway. If you can afford a 9 second car like the fox above, why would you not get a girdle just for insurance?

I NEVER said it was stock internally!I said the cover was unnecessary.
Car launches WFO with a trans brake @5500 RPM. >900 HP on the bottle!
Best short time was a 1.35 @3100 lbs!
Build em right the first time and they last.
Here's whats inside.
Strange Eng. Billet main caps w/ Allen bolts. There now you know my secret.
Strange 33 spline axles w/ 9" Ford bearings(retains axle in case you break one).
Spool w/ FMS 4.30 gears, axles retain 4 lugs, but use 5/8" drive studs (plenty strong) everybody said they wouldn't work either.
Saves me from buying new wheels!
I also use synthetic gear lube.

Buy it for piece of mind. Weather it's a big deal or not, it will have a positive effect. I will be going with TA once i get to that point on my build.

this is the first i have seen people make such a big deal out of the rear end girdles... i dont really see how they would make a difference, it seems like a wierd place to flex enough to hurt anything..
