Default kinda slow

just bought 2004 supercharged saleen. 7k miles, all stock, and is a little slow for my taste! i have been into chevy stuff for the last 15 years so i need to catch up on ford performance.decided tocome over to the dark side, back into my third mustang!! love the ride and appearance, but was wondering about easy bolt ons and free upgrades for now. can the egr be removed, lower temp thermo, different plugs, and cats removed without throwing codes? i know these questions probably been answered thousands of times, but do appriciate responces! thanks!

Longtubes, full exhaust, etc...

Search for the EGR delete thread..

You can change the thermostat, plugs without throwing codes.
If you remove the cats you will throw a code.

Yea start by doing full exhaust and a tune, that should net you some good numbers. Im not sure how much power those saleens are pumping out but if its anything south of 400 to the wheels id get a smaller pulley and crank up the boost a little bit too.

You can go with an o/r mid pipe but you'll need a tuner or MIL eliminators to stop the CEL from coming on. You won't gain much from that though. Smaller pulley for the S/C might wake things up for you.

LT headers, new midpipe without cats, catback flowmasters original 40s. MIL eliminators for losing the cats, or find a tuner to have the rear O2 sensors disabled. Don't mess with coils, plugs or wires. there's more HP to gain cheaper in other ways right now. You still have a quick car though.

Modular engines are high rev'ers, go with a rear end gear swap also.

wow i can't wait 'til the day when 350 rwhp is too slow for me [8D]

i guess any car gets like that after a while though once you've gotten used to it. (except maybe a bugatti or s7...i don't know if those things could ever feel slow lol)

i have noticed that the mustang doesn't feel as fast as it used to though. when i first got it (traded in a v6 camaro) i was like "dammm...this thing has *****!" now i catch myself thinking "man...shoulda saved up for a gto"

not sure what rear end gears are in it now, but it seems like forever between shifts. ive got picts but file size is too big, got to figure out how to make file smaller. just sold a 600hp Syclone that ran 10.19@133. i just couldnt stay away from the Mustang!!
