Computer calibration code?
Ok, so I'm getting ready to order a tuner from bamachips.com and they need my calibration code, the instructions on the site say that it's in the pass. door jamb or on the pass. kick panel. I can't find it in either place......is it possible that it's actually on the inside of the kick panel? I just wanna make sure before I go rippin **** off.
Lastly, have any of you guys ever ordered tuners from bamachips? I know the guys in the 05-08 section talk VERY highly of this place and that his tunes are awesome. I was just wondering if anyone from the 99-04 world had any experience with them.

you have to remove the passenger kick panel to access your ecu.
your ecu code will be on a sticker/bar-code that is stuck to the actual ecu itself.
the code will consist of 3 letters and a number. for example my ecu code is RKN2.
have i ever dealt with bamachips? no.
i havent heard any bad things about them, and i know with the 05-08 guys its always a toss up between brenspeed and bamachips.
i chose brenspeed, only b/c they are ranked the number one sct tuner in the united states. bamachips is ranked well.....but they arent number one.

before i got brenspeeds tune i had already finished all of my bolt ons, and didnt think i would really notice much of a difference with the tune, b/c at the time i had a "jet chip" stuck into the ecu.
well....let me tell you...i was wrong! the brenspeed tune impressed the hell out of me! especially compared to the chip/tune i had prior.
plus i like the fact that i can run brenspeeds 93 octane tune.....add a couple gallons of 101 octane (which they sell at the same "shell" i get my 93 at) , and bump up the timing even more thru the whole rpm range. haha no pinging yet, and my car runs more smoother/pulls harder now than it ever has.
im sure you can do the same with bamachips tune, as long as they use a SCT.
they are both really good, and i know you will be happy/impressed with whoever you choose. it was kind of a hard decision for me...but i dont regret going with brenspeed AT ALL.

Sweetness! Well then I think I'm just gonna go with Brenspeed, stick with the "tried and true" company lol.
Did you order yours online or did you give them a call and tell them all of your mods and stuff? I was gonna order it online but I dont really see any place to put in mods, besides maybe the comment box or something.

i did it over the phone so i could tell them everything....
you'll be impressed. just gotta be patient....it takes brent like a week to write your tune, then it ships. all in all about 2 weeks. very worth the wait tho.
