exhaust leak

i just got a 98 mustang GTa few weeks ago and the exhaust is leaking where the exhaust header meets the pipes... would this cuase my gas milage to be really bad?? cuz im only get 11-12 mpgs

yes it would cause your 02 sensors arent reading the proper a/f ratio. i had a leak for a week and i was suckin down gas like crazy then i got it fixed and i finally got to hear what the car sounds like with the new pipes. but ya mine was leaking from the driverside downppipe/manifold flange. they had to take out the stock flange studs and replace them with studs w/o spacers and it fits tight as a glove now

good mine is on the passenger side nd i didnt think i should be gettting only 11mpg i think its only a blown gasket but at a stop u can see exhaust coming out of the engine

buy two! the last time i dropped my mid-pipe, the gasket just fell apart no one had them in stock, so i was stuck without a car [:@]

yea excelerating it makes a weird noise nd im sure it robs hp too so ima try to get it fixed asap

I just got my LT headers installed and I have a leak at my reducer...should I be worried?

Cuz your exhaust is not flowing out properly, and the valve heats up. Plus any type of exhaust leak u want to fix it asap. Due to the fact your losing HP and waisting alot of gas for nothing, especialy the way gas prices are today.
