^^^That is a good question. A loose chain will more than likely jump the cam gear and throw the timing out of place.As far I know, the only sign of a problem you 'll receive is when the engine blows as a result of this. However,this isn 't a likely scenario with the 4.6. The weak link in the timing chain set up isn 't the chain but the chain tensioners. Signs to look/listen for would bea ticking sound. Check the stickies for more information on this.
and very bad things will come of this lol if that happens

Interference motors....When a tensioner breaks, you will have severe interference resulting in flags on the play and a lot of time sitting on the sideline to reflect.
